Preserved Half of Company Revenue at Appen

To convert a critical client exit risk into a sole-source win, I unified the go-to-market and delivery functions across data and operations. This new, cohesive foundation enabled me to sequence strategic GenAI programs that fueled significant new growth.

Result: Preserved ~50% of company revenue, secured a sole-source position, and earned an expansion contract into GenAI data, the company's largest contract signing in recent memory.

Built Ciber's First SaaS Business Unit

I orchestrated a strategic pivot from services to software, leading the creation of a new SaaS business unit from the ground up. This involved building the complete commercial and operational framework, including pricing, customer acquisition, product, marketing, and operating models.

Result: Achieved unit profitability within four quarters, tripled the sales pipeline within the first 90 days, and achieved $20m of ARR in six quarters.

Aetna Leadership & Operational Turnaround

As a seconded executive, I partnered with Aetna's C-suite to turn around their business transformation programs. I architected a next-generation co-sourcing model while recruiting, mentoring, and developing their internal talent to lead it.

Result: Enabled Aetna to achieve pre-determined financial commitments by delivering 14 digital transformation programs, outperforming peer organizations in 6 of 7 KPI's, and elevating business satisfaction from 74% to 96% in six months.

Directed $300M R&D Portfolio at CA Technologies

As a key partner to the board and C-suite, I was tasked with redefining the strategy for our $300M R&D portfolio. I led the analysis and subsequent overhaul of capital allocation, product development, and business strategy, ultimately securing executive alignment to shift 60% of investment into high-growth cloud products.

Result: Rebalanced a $300M R&D portfolio, shifting 60% of investment from legacy to high-growth cloud products, improving product margin and renewal profile.

Flagship Cloud Transformations at IBM

I directed flagship cloud transformations for over 100 enterprise clients, leading complex migrations and implementing fundamental operating-model changes to unlock new efficiencies and capabilities.

Example outcome: In partnership with Schlumberger and RedHat, accelerated the E&P life cycle by delivering an industry-first solution for oil & gas customers for real-time insights.

$270M Business Turnaround at Ciber

I led the turnaround of a struggling application development business by rebuilding its core operations and commercial strategy. The successful transformation was driven by a decisive refocus on higher-value managed services.

Result: Executed a full turnaround of a $270m business unit, reversing a revenue decline to achieve 25% YoY growth in managed services, with an associated outcome of 145% of revenue plan, and 146% of profit plan in 18 months.
